Thursday's Thought of the Day...

...Life is always a little better sitting on a porch!

How fab is this one?

Sorry for the short post, friends.
Busy, busy day at work but after today I'll have a little bit of a life back!
Tootles for now...

Wednesday's Windows...

...in the bathroom!
While you do need to be mindful of ensuring you have some privacy in the bathroom, of all places, you can't beat natural sunlight for primping and putting your face on in the morning!
The sunlight in these beautiful bathrooms looks like it would make getting ready for work in the morning a little more enjoyable!

The bathroom of my dreams! Filled with windows of varying shapes, arches, tiles, a vanity, mirrors - love, love, love!

Sunshine Yellow Bathroom with sunshine pouring in through the windows

Window, tub, glass tiles, mirrored vanity, and chaise lounge - this bathroom just about has it all!
(and how fun would this be in a beach house?)

Nook converted into a bathroom - fabulous placement of vanity in front of window!

Love the vintage mirror hanging on the window - and the collection of beach treasures on the window sill!

I can only imagine that the view out that window must be some sort of paradise!

Shaggin' on a Tuesday - This Movie Will Turn Your Day Around!

This is JUST the burst of sunshine I needed on this Tuesday!!
I cannot express to you how much my face lit up when I came across this fabulous piece in today's Vogue Daily

Shag is, hands down, my ALL TIME FAVORITE.
Ask anyone who knows me well and they will confirm that I have watched Shag over, and over, and over... In fact, just for the record, I have watched it enough that I have burned out two VHS tapes, broken 1 DVD, and am now on my second DVD ...
and I love it more and more each time I watch it !!
If you haven't seen it, you need to buy it now. Not rent it, buy it!

So, since I share with you so many of my favorite things, I couldn't resist sharing Vogue's pages - along with some of my favorite quotes!
"Luanne, that was our turnoff!" - Carson
"Oh damn, guess we just have to go to Myrtle Beach!" - Luanne

"Well, don't play hard to get. You might miss something." - Buzz

"Look Luanne! I'm not goin' to college like some people. And I sure as hell ain't marryin' a damn Ralston. And I ain't gonna die in a parish house in Spartanburg, South Carolina, thank you. Luanne, I'm as pretty as any of those girls in Hollywood. This is my chance! Jimmy Valentine's gonna discover me today, and it ain't gonna be in your mama's hoop skirt!" - Malaina

"Stay on your diet dear, YUCK YUCK YUCK." - Pudge

"I'm going to tell my parents that Pudge went crazy and that she ran off and we didn't know what to do, so we called the police, and the police tracked her here to Myrtle Beach." - Luanne
"Luanne, why don't we just go up there and say "This was our last weekend together, and we didn't feel like going to Fort Sumter and touring goddamn colonial homes. We wanted to go to the beach and meet boys and go to wild parties and dance." I mean why can't we tell them the truth?" - Carson

The Best Way to Keep Cool...Floating in the Pool!

This hot, hot weather calls for a mat and a pool - and a few frozen cocktails!

Kiawah Island + Pool + Overlooking the Marsh = True, true bliss in my book!

Chandeliers by the pool? Why not?

 Monique Lhullier's backyard pool

These covered lounges look perfect for a nap by the pool!

Amazing Grace villa in Turks and Caicos - without a doubt amazing, pool and villa!

Infinity pool at Cindy Crawford's Malibu home - yes please!

Beautiful pool overlooking the Potomac right outside of Washington, DC

Outdoor Living Room overlooking the pool and ocean in Punta Mita, Mexico

Wednesday's "What If?"...

... We could spend the day (or the rest of the week or month for that matter!) in one of these fabulous beach bungalows?!?!

Perfect for mid-week daydreaming...

Folly Beach was part of many of my fondest college memories, as it is just minutes outside of Charleston, SC, so when I saw this beachfront home in Folly I just had to share. This house leaves me longing for my college days spent on Folly and dreaming of having this bungalow as my own (and possibly trying to relive those college days?!)

House of Turquoise revisited one of my favorite beach bungalows recently and while it may have been Southern Living's 2009 Idea House it still leaves me dreaming!
(Albeit, which of their featured homes doesn't leave us dreaming?!)

Check out this Port Arkansas on the Texas Gulf Coast

This house makes doing laundry even seem like a dream!
